Use Settings → Channels to provision and review shared communication assets. These assets are later assigned to inboxes, outbound campaigns, appointment reminders, and personal inboxes.

Phone numbers

Phone numbers can support SMS, voice, or both. A number can be marked as:
  • In use when it is assigned to an inbox, outbound sender, personal inbox, or another workflow.
  • Appt. Reminders when it is reserved for appointment reminder calls or SMS.
  • Archived or Archiving when it is being removed from active use.
To add a phone number:
  1. Go to Settings → Channels.
  2. Click Add phone number.
  3. Choose United States or Canada.
  4. Optionally enter an area code.
  5. Select an available number.
  6. Click Add number.

Email domains

Email domains are custom domains or subdomains used for Clearline-managed email addresses. Domain statuses include:
StatusMeaning
PendingDNS records still need to be configured or verified.
PartialSome DNS checks passed, but not all.
VerifiedThe domain is ready for sending and receiving.
FailedVerification failed and needs attention.
In useAt least one inbox, outbound sender, or appointment notification uses the domain.
To add a domain:
  1. Go to Settings → Channels.
  2. Click Add custom domain.
  3. Enter the domain, such as example.com or reply.example.com.
  4. Configure the DNS records shown by Clearline.
  5. Wait for the domain to become Verified before using it.
