Use contact imports to bring customer data into Clearline from a CSV file.

Import steps

Upload

Upload a CSV file. The first row should contain column headers.

Map columns

Map each CSV column to a contact field. You can skip columns you do not want to import.

Review values

Inspect sample values and validation errors for mapped columns.

Confirm

Review total rows, mapped columns, valid cells, and invalid cells.

Import

Start processing. Clearline tracks succeeded, failed, skipped, and total rows.

Create fields while mapping

If your CSV includes a column that does not have a matching contact field, create a new field from the mapping step. The new field appears in the mapping list after it is saved.

Import history

Go to Settings → Import history to review previous imports and resume imports that need attention.
