Clearline’s CRM setup starts with the data model. Define the fields you need, then import contact or opportunity data into those fields.

Prepare the data model

  1. Go to Settings → Data model.
  2. Create any custom fields that should exist in Clearline.
  3. Use select or multi-select fields when values need a controlled list.
  4. Use reference fields when one object should point to another object.

Import CRM contacts

  1. Export contacts from your CRM as a CSV file.
  2. Go to Contacts → Import.
  3. Upload the CSV.
  4. Map each CSV column to a Clearline contact field.
  5. Review values and validation errors.
  6. Confirm the import.

Import opportunities

Use the same field-mapping pattern for opportunity data when your CRM export includes pipeline records. Configure opportunity pipelines and stages before importing opportunity data.

Keep source fields stable

When you plan recurring imports, keep CRM export column names stable. Stable columns make mapping faster and reduce the chance that data lands in the wrong field.
