Activity timelines show historical events on records such as contacts and opportunities. Use them to understand what changed, who changed it, and what happened next.

Activity timeline uses

  • Review communication history.
  • See when records were created or updated.
  • Understand how tasks, meetings, conversations, and opportunities relate.
  • Audit recent changes before replying to a customer.

Where activity appears

Activity appears in detail pages and panels for customer-facing records such as contacts and opportunities. Conversation threads also show message-level activity, calls, system events, and AI decisions.

Reading activity

When reviewing activity, look for:
  • Most recent customer touch.
  • Open tasks.
  • Completed or missed appointments.
  • Hand-off events.
  • AI suggestions or decisions.
  • Changes to owner, status, stage, or key properties.
