Use Settings → Data model to create and manage custom fields. Custom fields power table columns, filters, contact properties, import mapping, appointment questions, and web chat questions.

Field settings

Each custom field includes:
  • Name
  • Type
  • Key generated from the name
  • Type-specific configuration such as options, currency, or referenced object
  • Optional description
System fields are marked System only and cannot be edited like custom fields.

Field types

Clearline supports common field types such as text, number, date, email, telephone, currency, select, multi-select, checkbox, and object references. Select and multi-select fields can define options with labels, values, and colors.

Archive a field

Archive a custom field when it should no longer be used. Archived fields are hidden from active configuration but retained for historical data.
Do not archive a field that is still used by imports, booking questions, web chat questions, filters, or active workflows.
