# Appointments overview

> Configure appointment types, booking links, advisors, availability, and notifications.

Appointments let customers book time with your team. Configure appointment types in settings, then share booking links or let the agent book appointments during conversations.

## Appointment configuration

| Area          | What it controls                                                                           |
| ------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Details       | Title, color, description, and duration.                                                   |
| Advisors      | Who can be booked and how bookings are assigned.                                           |
| Availability  | Weekly schedule, buffers, minimum notice, maximum advance days, and time-slot intervals.   |
| Questions     | Fields customers answer during booking.                                                    |
| Integrations  | Scheduler provider options.                                                                |
| Notifications | Phone number, email domain, confirmation, cancellation, reminders, and confirmation calls. |
| Advanced      | Confirmation requirement and reschedule/cancellation policy.                               |

## Booking flow

1. Customer opens a booking link.
2. Customer chooses a date and time.
3. Customer answers enabled booking questions.
4. Clearline creates the appointment.
5. Notification settings determine which confirmations and reminders are sent.
